Prayers and Thanksgivings: Before and After Worship and

Prayers for Before Worship
Before the office all kneel and silently pray

O Almighty God, who pourest out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication:  Deliver us, when we draw near to thee, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections we may worship thee in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our
Lord.  Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.  Amen.

Hail Mary Full of Grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.  Amen.

Or instead of the Angelic Salutation, this

Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal One, Have mercy upon us.

Prayers for After Worship
After the office all kneel and silently pray

May the souls of the faithful departed, + through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.

Grant, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that the words which we have heard this day with our outward ears, may, through thy grace, be so grafted inwardly in our hearts, that they may bring forth in us the fruit of good living, to the honor and praise of thy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an Angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
